Terms of Service

1. Introduction

Welcome to What's Up Trivia ("the Platform", "the Service"), a skill-based knowledge competition platform operated by SummerIsland Systems ("we", "us", "our"). What's Up Trivia is a competitive quiz platform — not a gambling, betting, or wagering service. Outcomes are determined entirely by competitor knowledge and skill, not chance. By accessing or using our Service through WhatsApp or Telegram, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.

2. Nature of the Service

What's Up Trivia provides:

  • A skill-based knowledge competition delivered via messaging platforms
  • Sponsored leaderboard rewards funded by the platform and its sponsors
  • Access credits that grant participation in scheduled and on-demand competition rounds

The Service is not a gambling, betting, wagering, lottery, or chance-based product. Access credits have no monetary value outside of platform participation, are not stored value, and cannot be redeemed for cash or transferred between users.

3. Eligibility

  • Practice Mode (Free): Available to users aged 13 and above
  • Classic Mode & Tournaments (Sponsored Rewards): Restricted to users aged 13 and above
  • Geographic Restriction: Available only to residents of Nigeria
  • Account Limits: One account per person (strictly enforced)

4. Account Registration

To use our Service, you must provide accurate registration information, use your real name and valid phone number, and maintain the security of your account.

5. Competition Modes

5.1 Practice Mode

Free participation with unlimited rounds, no sponsored rewards. Designed for skill development. Available to users 13+.

5.2 Classic Mode

Requires access credits (1 access credit = 1 round). Earn sponsored leaderboard rewards up to ₦50,000. 15 questions per round with 12-second timer. Available to users 13 and above.

5.3 Tournaments

Special sponsored events with enhanced reward tiers. May require access credits or be sponsor-funded. Available to users 13 and above.

Access credits are non-refundable, do not expire, and cannot be transferred between accounts. Access credits grant participation only — they are not stored value, convertible currency, or transferable rights. Payments are processed securely through encrypted payment infrastructure.

7. Sponsored Reward Structure

The leaderboard reward tier structure ranges from ₦200 (Q1) to ₦50,000 (Q15). Milestone tiers at Q5 (₦1,000) and Q10 (₦10,000). Rewards are funded by the platform and its sponsors and distributed as recognition for skill-based achievement.

Reward Limits

  • Daily Maximum: ₦30,000 per user per day
  • Top Tier Cooldown: 5-day waiting period after earning the ₦50,000 top tier reward

8. Reward Redemption

  • Earned rewards must be redeemed within 3 days (72 hours)
  • Type "CLAIM" to initiate the redemption process
  • Provide valid Nigerian bank account details
  • Rewards processed within 12-24 business hours
  • Unredeemed rewards after 72 hours are forfeited
  • KYC verification may be required for redemptions over ₦10,000

9. Prohibited Conduct

The following are STRICTLY PROHIBITED:

  • Creating or using multiple accounts
  • Using bots, scripts, or automation tools
  • Using external assistance during timed rounds
  • Sharing accounts or having others compete on your behalf
  • Colluding with other competitors
  • Exploiting bugs or system vulnerabilities
  • Using stolen payment methods or initiating chargebacks
  • Providing false information during registration or KYC
  • Reselling, transferring, or attempting to assign value to access credits

10. Integrity Detection & Enforcement

We employ advanced integrity measures including CAPTCHA, device fingerprinting, behavioral analysis, response time monitoring, and KYC verification.

Consequences of Violations: Immediate permanent ban, forfeiture of ALL pending rewards, no refund of access credits, ban across all platforms. Our decision on integrity cases is final.

11. Limitation of Liability

We are not liable for internet connectivity issues, device malfunctions, losses due to user negligence or violations, third-party payment processing issues, or force majeure events.

12. Dispute Resolution

Round sessions are logged and retained for 7 days. Competitors may dispute question accuracy within 7 days. All decisions by our support team are final.

13. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use after modifications constitutes acceptance.
